The Big Day

As my fingers hover over the keyboard, I’m sitting here wondering, how do I describe what is supposed to be the best day of any girl’s life? How do you make sure it goes perfectly?

The week leading up to your wedding is certainly going to be a mixed up back of emotions. You’ll feel everything from extreme happiness all the way to downright stress. But hopefully all the way through it, you’ll feel loved. But regardless of how much you worry, you should know that your family and friends…and your groom, will get you through it. So don’t sweat the small stuff, and get ready to savor every single moment of your big day, because it’s going pass you by so quickly, and HOPEFULLY this is going to be the one and only time that you do it. Yes, right now you probably can’t imagine the day going so fast, because you’re putting so much time, money and effort into it, but believe me, at the end of the big day you’ll remember my words.

So my advice to you now, is to take a big deep breath and go with the flow! Just do the best you can and what doesn’t get done then just let it go. As long as both you and the groom show up at the alter, at the right time, then everything else is just details. And if something goes wrong…so what, your marriage isn’t just about that day, it’s about the rest of your lives together. And in 6 months you’ll both probably be laughing about all those tiny things that might have gone wrong on the big day – unless one of the problems was an ex-boyfriend or girlfriend standing up and sharing their reasons why the marriage shouldn’t go ahead. No, I’m kidding! You probably have more chance of being struck by lightening than that to happen.
