Will a wedding consultant take over my wedding?
Some
may, but not us. We know what an unpleasant experience it can be to have
to work with that type of person. Before Sagewood came into existence, we saw
first-hand what it was like to deal with controlling yet uninformed people
connected to a couple's wedding. Since then, we have seen stressed-out couples, who have planned
their weddings without any professional assistance, hire controlling and
difficult vendors. Your engagement should be happy, not full of
stress and harsh feelings. Our role is that of an advisor and facilitator,
giving you all the benefits of our experience. It is essential to us that you
feel like the
wedding is yours, that it is personal and reflects your vision. To us, that's
a sign of a successful event.

How can Sagewood consultants save me money?
-
Above
all, our experience saves you time and costly mistakes, and exposes you to the
best options for your style and budget. We are well versed in the numerous logistics and issues involved in planning.
-
We are not
a "bridal discount" operation, nor do we receive "kickbacks"
in exchange for exclusively referring a supplier. Instead, we pass on discounts
to you. We understand that it is
important for you to have options to make informed decisions. Our extensive list
of contacts allows us to find the best source of products and services for your
wedding.
-
We work closely with suppliers to
fine the best use of your budget for their services with a focus
on quality and style and to make sure they understand your vision.
-
Sagewood offers services such as
graphic design (invitations, programs, etc.) and rentals of
terrific decorative items at competitive rates.

Can't I just have a friend, relative, or other vendor do the work?
Some
people go this route. One of our clients described it best - she had been to a
number of weddings where the couples did this and while the weddings were
special, they just did not go as smoothly as they would have gone had they had a
professional help them plan it all. "At worst there were some obvious
problems, and at best they just lacked polish. Some of the couples were very
stressed out and their parents and attendants seemed to be all over the
place."
You can still share the enjoyable aspects of planning with your loved ones while
having professional help. Planning is more time- consuming and stressful for
people who have limited or no experience with it and haven't been exposed to the
different issues that come up with different weddings. Also, with professional
help, you can better avoid awkward, delicate situations that result from
differences of opinions among friends or relatives.
Other vendors may have referrals for some services you may need and some great
ideas about their area of expertise, but they won't have the time or experience
to cover all aspects and tasks involved with planning or coordination.
5.
Do Sagewood consultants always use the same vendors?
Although
we do have a core list of vendors with whom we love to work, we are constantly
looking for new talent to support. We use our extensive list of contacts to
create the best team of service providers for your event, but we gladly research
other
vendors as needed.
